All submissions undergo plagiarism screening using Turnitin prior to acceptance. If plagiarism or ethical violations are discovered after publication, the article will be retracted without refund. We also screen all submissions using AI-detection tools. Manuscripts generated in whole or in part by AI tools will not be accepted. If AI use is discovered after publication, the article will be retracted without refund.
The International Journal of Scholarly Research (IJSR) follows an Open Access policy, meaning every article we publish is available online at no cost to readers anywhere in the world. This model supports broad accessibility and visibility for research while maintaining professional editorial and production standards.

To sustain these services, we collect an Article Processing Charge (ASC), which helps cover:
-
Editorial review and preliminary evaluation of submissions.
-
Coordination of a thorough peer-review process with qualified reviewers.
-
Plagiarism screening and compliance checks.
-
Professional editing, formatting, and layout preparation.
-
Indexing, archiving, and long-term digital preservation of all published work.

There is no charge for the submission of your paper, but if your paper is published after review, there will be a charge of $25.00 USD for the above services. We believe in encouraging authors to share their work without worrying about an upfront cost. This allows researchers, students, and professionals from all backgrounds to submit without financial barriers, while still ensuring the highest quality in the articles we publish.
At the International Journal of Academia, we are committed to providing authors with a timely and transparent review process.
-
Initial Editorial Screening: Once your manuscript is submitted, our editorial team will perform a preliminary check for formatting, plagiarism, and compliance with submission guidelines.
-
Peer Review Coordination: Manuscripts that pass initial screening are sent to qualified peer reviewers for detailed evaluation.
-
Expected Decision Window: Authors can typically expect an editorial decision—acceptance, revision request, or rejection—within 2 to 4 weeks of submission.

This streamlined process is designed to respect authors’ time, ensure fairness, and maintain high scholarly standards.
After your manuscript has completed the review process, the editorial team will issue one of the following decisions:
-
Accept – The manuscript is approved for publication with only minor or no edits required. Final copyediting and formatting will follow before publication.
-
Minor Revisions Required – The manuscript is fundamentally sound but requires small adjustments (e.g., clarifications, formatting fixes, or additional citations). Authors will be given a specific deadline to submit the revised version.
-
Major Revisions Required – The manuscript has potential for publication but requires significant changes, such as restructuring sections, addressing gaps in analysis, or providing additional supporting data. The revised submission will undergo another round of review.
-
Reject with Resubmission Encouraged – The manuscript is not ready for publication in its current form, but the editor believes the work could be improved and resubmitted after substantial revisions. This would be considered a new submission.
-
Reject – The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards or is unsuitable for the scope of the publication. Detailed feedback will be provided where possible to assist authors in seeking alternative publication opportunities.

Our goal is to provide constructive feedback regardless of the decision, helping authors strengthen their work and contribute meaningfully to the scholarly community.
Original research papers present new experimental data, analyses, or findings produced directly by the authors. Submissions may come from advanced high school projects, undergraduate or graduate research, independent scholars, or professional investigations. We especially encourage authors whose work has received recognition—such as science fair awards, conference presentations, or institutional grants—to share their findings with a broader audience through publication.
Submissions must:
-
Present original work not previously published elsewhere.
-
Clearly state what distinguishes the research from existing studies in the field.
-
Include a discussion and interpretation of the data in the context of relevant literature.
A review article, also known as a literature review, surveys and synthesizes previously published work on a specific topic. Unlike original research, review articles do not present new experimental results, but instead:
-
Provide an overview of current understanding in the field.
-
Critically evaluate existing studies, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and contradictions.
-
Identify trends, research gaps, or future directions.

When preparing a review article:
-
Choose a focused topic of interest.
-
Search for and select relevant literature (you may limit scope by time period, geographic region, or subtopic).
-
Read and analyze the selected works, noting points of agreement, differences, and ongoing debates.
-
Organize and summarize findings to present a clear, critical perspective.
